- Continuation of an existing project starting back in 2017.
- Placing Doc200 and Timms traps around the Poporangi stream at the foot of the Ruahine Ranges.
- Regenerating the health and diversity of the stream environment by the removal/suppression of unwanted predators/pest species.
- Hoping one day Whio will return to the Poporangi stream.
- Funding is for an additional 10 Doc200 and 5 Timms traps to be added to the already existing traps around the Poporangi stream.
