- Continuation of an existing project started 2020-21 to protect and monitor banded dotterels at Clive/Waipureku.
- A team of 21 volunteers undertake monitoring and/or predator control to protect the dotterels, their nests and their young. Knowledge both old and new is shared with the community to help educate and increase awareness of dotterels and their importance.
- PPET funding will go towards the purchase of predator control supplies, monitoring equipment and education and training materials for volunteers and the public.
- This project was also supported by PPET in 2024.
