• Continuation of an existing project
  • ECOED’s Save Our Kaweka Kiwi (SOKK) project aims to sustain and enhance the eastern brown kiwi population living in the Kaweka Forest Park.
  • The project monitors about 20 radio-tagged adult kiwi and raises chicks at a predator-free creche at Lake Opouahi.
  • PPET funding will go towards the purchase of new kiwi tracking transmitters.
